Dr. Daccardi Invited to Speak at Alternative Medicine Conference

IMOSAIC April 6 - 10 Minneapolis, MN

Dr. Daccardi has been invited to speak to his peers in alternative medicine at IMOSAIC, the first-ever joint conference of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM), the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM), the American Holistic Medical Association (AHMA), and the International College of Integrative Medicine (ICIM), whose mission is to help transform healthcare to a more integrative model, incorporating science-based alternatives within healthcare. Like these organizations, Dr. Daccardi has dedicated his career to increasing awareness, among the general public and the healthcare community, of the importance of the physical, mental, emotional, environmental, social and spiritual aspects of health and wellness. Dr. Daccardi was the only Doctor of Chiropractic selected by the conference committee to speak at this exciting event.

In his session, he will be teaching about the scientific, neurological basis for using kinesiology as an assessment tool to provide diagnostic insight into difficult-to-diagnose conditions such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and autoimmune conditions. He will review case studies from his practice which describe many ways in which his work in kinesiology has revealed neurological contributors to his patients' chronic symptoms, which were further described quantitatively with functional lab tests.

The IMOSAIC Conference will take place in Minneapolis from April 6 through the 10th, 2011. Attendance is expected to be greater than 5000 physicians.

Dr. Daccardi Presenting at the ICAK Annual Conference

International College of Applied Kinesiology, Orlando, FL June 2 - 5

Dr. Daccardi has been invited to present some of his research at the annual meeting for the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK), taking place June 2 - 5, 2011 in Orlando, Florida. The ICAK is comprised of physicians throughout the world, in various areas of specialty, who are licensed to diagnose.

Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a system that evaluates structural, chemical and mental aspects of health using manual muscle testing with other standard methods of diagnosis. Using the tool of Applied Kinesiology, when the doctor finds a muscle that is unbalanced and not firing properly, he or she then attempts to determine why that muscle is not functioning properly.

Treatments to restore function to muscles may involve specific joint manipulation or mobilization, various myofascial therapies, cranial techniques, meridian and acupuncture skills, clinical nutrition, dietary management, counselling skills, evaluating environmental irritants and various reflex procedures.
