The first step to achieving your ultimate performance -- athletic, professional, or academic -- is a matter of clearing out the "noise" in your nervous system. Until you get your foot out of the fire, so to speak, all of your neurological resources, whether you're conscious of it or not, are going to be focused on putting out that fire, and your performance will suffer in many subtle and not-so-subtle ways. I developed the system of Neurocognetics as a systematic way to help people re-set their nervous systems to a higher level of function.

Clearing the Pathways to Your Best Performance

As anyone who strives to achieve and maintain their best athletic, professional, or academic performance knows, the differences between a strong performance and a champion performance can be extremely subtle, but very significant -- a fraction of a second in response time or mental acuity, slight advantages in strength or control, superior ability to perform under stress, for example. The central nervous system functions as the body’s “master control,” facilitating these processes, as well as just about every other aspect of performance, including:

• Reaction times • Precision of movement • Muscle coordination and firing patterns • Proprioception and balance • Endurance, strength, and power • Blood flow • Mental acuity and memory • Emotions • Metabolism and digestion

What many of us don’t realize is that performance weaknesses can sometimes stem from unexpected sources. Neurological interference, whether physical, biochemical, or mental in nature, can be likened to “white noise” playing constantly in the background of the nervous system, taxing the body’s ability to complete critical processes quickly and with ease and leading to performance problems and propensity for injury.

The practice of Neurocognetics™, developed by Dr. Jac Daccardi, was designed to clear and “re-set” the central nervous system to an optimal level of function by revealing and correcting sources of neurological interference in the brain and body, such as those listed above. The Neurocognetics™ process enables competitive athletes, performers, students, executives, and anyone concerned with achieving their highest potential, to do so consistently, by removing causes of neurological interference that can contribute to subtle performance weaknesses.

How does it work?
Dr. Daccardi developed the practice of Neurocognetics™ by synthesizing a vast body of knowledge, principles and techniques from the fields of neurology, kinesiology, chiropractic, acupuncture, brain biochemistry, laser medicine, clinical nutrition, homeopathy, and homotoxicology.

A Neurocognetics™ performance assessment begins with a comprehensive battery of muscle tests and neurological challenges designed to assess the functionality of critical neurological, cognitive, and kinetic processes in the body. Then, a wide variety of gentle techniques are utilized, depending upon the needs of each individual, to clear the neurological pathways to peak performance. In many cases, when a correction is made during a Neurocognetics™ exam, evidence of improved nervous system function can be seen in real time, in the form of measurable gains in muscle strength, coordination, vision, memory, and flexibility.

Neurological interference can lead to mental and physical performance problems. Causes can include:

  • persistent withdrawal and postural reflexes associated with injuries or trauma
  • poor adaptation to light, sound, temperature, body position or other stimuli
  • subtle biochemical, hormonal and neurotransmitter imbalances
  • chronic stress or anxiety
  • cranial, extremity, and spinal joint dysfunctions
  • alteration of brain stem function
  • acupuncture system damage and imbalance
  • fascial and other tissue scarring
  • impaired organ and immune system function
  • chronic pain and inflammation
  • food and/or chemical sensitivities or imbalances
  • malabsorption or malnutrition
  • genetic factors
